Pilgrimage church ""Maria im Grünen Tal""

In the year 2007, the restoration of the windows in section of the pilgrimage church ""Maria im Grünen Tal"" in Retzbach (consecrated in 1969) was pending -and with that, also the re-working of the glass design created in 1975 by Curd Lessig in co-operation with our studio.

In the course of these measures, the non-insulated double-glazed iron frames of the windows were replaced with a contemporary, insulated window structure. In this context, possible changes in the room's climate due to the enhanced window insulation were prevented by ventilation-engineering measures on-site.

The glass design was positioned with spacing in front of the modern insulation glazings.

The windows in the choir loft and the glass design of the gallery and confessionals were re-worked in situ.

The re-construction of the windows with Schüco profiles and insulation glazing were performed by our colleagues atMetalbau Rothkegel.
